KATHMANDU, March 31: Toyam Raya has been nominated for the position of Auditor General of Nepal.
The Constitutional Council meeting held earlier today made this decision.

The post was vacant after the tenure of Tanka Mani Sharma ended in May last year.
Raya is currently serving as the Secretary at the National Statistics Office and is to be appointed to the position by President Ram Chandra Paudel after undergoing a parliamentary hearing.
