KATHMANDU: RIBS and Babylon reached the quarterfinals of 11th Gyan Niketan Inter-school Basketball Tournament in the senior boys´ section on Tuesday. RIBS defeated Innovative 53-27 while Babylon pulled off a 17-14 victory over Awareness International Academy (AIA). In the senior girls´ section, Daffodil Public School, which has already qualified for the semifinals, beat Teresa 16-15 in a group stage match as Chhoten Lama scored six points for the winning side.
TIA beats Saptagandaki
KATHMANDU: Trungram International Academy (TIA) beat Saptagandaki 27-22 on Tuesday in the qualifying rounds of the north zone of Kathmandu Valley for the Second U-14 Inter-school National Basketball Championship. Nawang Dorje scored 15 points for TIA. Nepal-Japan beat Bhadrakali 13-10 and Forward Academy edged past Dibyajyoti 15-10. Likewise, Nawajeevan beat HHCA 27-21 but lost to Angels´ Heart 20-23. Rehdon defeated BST 16-11.
