Election update: RSP leading in 70 constituencies

According to the Election Commission, out of 94 constituencies where counting was underway as of 2 PM, RSP was leading in 70 constituencies, while the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, and Nepali Communist Party were each leading in six constituencies.

KATHMANDU, March 6: According to the ongoing vote count in the House of Representatives election, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is leading in 70 constituencies.



According to the Election Commission, out of 94 constituencies where counting was underway as of 2 PM, RSP was leading in 70 constituencies, while the Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-UML, and Nepali Communist Party were each leading in six constituencies.

Similarly, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Progressive Democratic Party, Shram Sanskrti Party, and independent candidates were each leading in one constituency.


So far, one candidate each from RSP and the NC has been declared elected. Ranju Darshana of RSP won from Kathmandu-1 with 15,455 votes, while Yogesh Gauchan Thakali of the NC won from Mustang with 3,307 votes.
