Samriddhi Inter School Futsal Championship

Samriddhi School, Balaju organized first Futsal Championship Competition on Wednesday at Riverfield Futsal ground. The competition was managed and led by the Students’ Internal Management Team of Samriddhi School which comprises of the Grade 11 students.

Samriddhi School, Balaju organized first Futsal Championship Competition on Wednesday at Riverfield Futsal ground. The competition was managed and led by the Students’ Internal Management Team of Samriddhi School which comprises of the Grade 11 students.

According to Bikash Shahi, ECA Director, Samriddhi School, the main purpose behind organizing this event was to instill the management and leadership skills in students from their high school level itself and also the application of learning by doing approach. This event also aimed to enhance the friendship between the participating schools through the medium of sports.


The press statement stated that a total of 12 teams from different 10+2 level schools of Kathmandu participated in the competition.


The event commenced with a flash mob performance by Grade 11 students of Samriddhi School. The opening match which was played between Team Samriddhi and Team Oxford started after a motivational speech by Naresh Prasad Shrestha, CEO/Principal of Samriddhi School as well as the Chief Guest of the program. The match ended with the score 0-0.


Team NIST Science defeating team Greenfield and team Puspa Sadan defeating team New Zenith made it to the finals. And team NIST Science was successful to lift the winning trophy making team Puspa Sadan the 1st Runner up with 3-2 as the final score through a tiebreaker. Manish Pandey and Rohan Lawat from Team NIST, and Prezan Shrestha from team Puspa Sadan managed to earn the Best Scorer, the Best Keeper and the Best Player award respectively.


The event ended with the final solo dance performance by Priya Shahi and Kanchan Sharma. The winners were awarded by the  Naresh Prasad Shrestha, CEO/Principal Samriddhi School and the directors  Narayan Krishna Maharjan and Rajendra Shrestha.
