MORANG, Feb 1: The government has allocated 70 million rupees for the repair and maintenance of the office buildings to be used by the top officials of Province No 1.
These include the buildings used by the Province chief, the chief minister, the provincial government ministers and the speaker and deputy speaker of the provincial parliament.
16 years on, government buildings still not reconstructed
Chief of the Urban Development and Building Construction Division Office, Shyam Kishor Singh said that they have received Rs 70.5 million for the repair and maintenance of the buildings where the province office and ministries are to be operated.
According to the Division Office chief, out of the Rs 70.5 million allocated for that purpose, only Rs 50 million is specifically mentioned under the heading of repair and maintenance of the province office buildings and the rest is for construction of compound walls and parking lots, and furnishing and furniture.
Chief District Officer of Morang, Ram Prasad Acharya said the repair and maintenance works have already been started after receiving the budget.(RSS)
