LEKHNATH, April 12: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairperson Rajendra Lingden urged the government to lay strong emphasis on good governance, development and effective delivery of public services.
In his address to the RPP Gandaki province level plenary meeting and frontline cadres' meeting in Pokhara on Tuesday, he said, "We have changed the governance system of the country but failed to transform the lives of the people".
Politics has developed as an industry in Nepal, he said, stressing the need to probe corruption done in any time period. "I took big decisions when I assumed the position of Energy Minister of the country. But I did not misappropriate a single penny".
Where there is government, there is corruption!
He further asserted that doing corruption was like sucking the blood of mother Nepal.
Talking to the media on the occasion, Lingden said the RPP would not join the government immediately.
