KATHMANDU, April 11: The Road Division Office, Janakpur, has decided to terminate the contracts with four construction companies including Pappu Construction. The Division Office issued a notice on Thursday and said that four construction companies including Pappu Construction will be blacklisted for their failure to fulfill their contractual obligations.

The Division Office has initiated the process to blacklist Pappu-Kamal JV, Nagarjuna Hem Construction, Kamal Nirman Sewa, and Swachchhanda Nirman Sewa. These companies have stalled the construction of bridges and roads for six different projects.

The Division Office has given these construction companies a seven-day deadline to provide a written explanation if they have any reasons for not meeting their contractual obligations. The failure to do so will result in the Division confiscating the performance guarantee, advance payment guarantee, and bond amount of the contract, along with blacklisting the companies. Additionally, the Division Office plans to recover the expenses incurred for the remaining work.
