KATHMANDU, Dec 16: Chief of Army Staff, Prabhuram Sharma, conferred rank insignia on recently promoted Lieutenant General Ashok Raj Sigdel on Friday.
A cabinet meeting held on Thursday had decided to promote Sigdel to the post of Lieutenant General.

Born on Magh 19, 2023 BS in Kapilvastu, Sigdel joined Nepal Army as an officer cadet in 2043 BS. He was promoted to Second Lieutenant in 2045 BS.
Similarly, Santosh Ballav Paudel was also conferred rank insignia as he was promoted to the post of Major General.
