AIGs Gurung and Dhakal conferred rank insignia

KATHMANDU, Nov 22: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Basanta Bahadur Kunwar conferred rank insignia to Additional Inspectors General (AIGs) Buddhiraj Gurung and Kedar Dhakal on Friday.

KATHMANDU, Nov 22: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Basanta Bahadur Kunwar conferred rank insignia to Additional Inspectors General (AIGs) Buddhiraj Gurung and Kedar Dhakal on Friday.


The Council of Ministers, on November 21, decided to promote Gurung and Dhakal from Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) to AIGs. According to Central Police Spokesperson and DIG Dan Bahadur Karki, the insignia were presented by IGP Kunwar during a ceremony held at the Police Headquarters.

Addressing the event, IGP Kunwar stressed the importance of collective commitment at the highest levels for the organization's welfare. He urged police personnel to remain active, thoughtful, and determined in fulfilling their responsibilities. Highlighting the police's primary role in upholding the rule of law, Kunwar emphasized strengthening ties with citizens through integrity and transparency in service delivery.
