KATHMANDU, March 24: Chennai Super Kings secured a 4-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians in the third match of the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Playing at Chepauk Stadium on Sunday, Chennai successfully chased down the target by scoring 158/6 in 19.1 overs.
Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad anchored the innings with a composed 53, while Rachin Ravindra's unbeaten 65 powered Chennai to victory.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians batted first after winning the toss and managed 155/9 in 20 overs. Tilak Varma led with 31 runs, while captain Suryakumar Yadav and Deepak Chahar contributed 29 and 28 runs, respectively.
Noor Ahmad dominated with the ball for Chennai, taking 4 wickets in his four-over spell, while Khaleel Ahmed picked up 3 wickets.
With this defeat, Mumbai Indians extended their streak of losing the opening match to 13 consecutive seasons.
