Rangeli Municipality Mayor Dilip Agrawal expelled from CPN (Maoist Center)

BIRATNAGAR, March 8: The CPN (Maoist Center), Morang district chapter, has expelled Mayor Dilip Bagdiya (Agrawal) of Rangeli Municipality from the party. Mayor Agrawal was expelled from the party after he made preparations to join the CPN-UML.

BIRATNAGAR, March 8: The CPN (Maoist Center), Morang district chapter, has expelled Mayor Dilip Bagdiya (Agrawal) of Rangeli Municipality from the party. Mayor Agrawal was expelled from the party after he made preparations to join the CPN-UML.

A press release issued by the CPN (Maoist Center) of Province 1 stated that Agrawal had been dismissed from the party due to his anti-party activities. The press release also stated that a recommendation letter has already been sent to the Election Commission by the party to remove Agrawal from the post of mayor as well. He was elected the mayor of Rangeli Municipality from CPN (Maoist Center) in 2017.

Agrawal is preparing to formally join the CPN-UML at a public meeting organized by the CPN-UML in Rangeli on Wednesday. CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to attend a public meeting at Rangeli Municipality on Wednesday to welcome Agrawal into the party, according to CPN-UML Morang.
