KATHMANDU, Jan 1: Bibeksheel Sajha Party Chairman Rabindra Mishra paid a courtesy call on Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden and General Secretary Dhawal Sumsher Rana, reportedly with a proposal to form a new party by merging the two political organizations.

According to General Secretary Rana, in the meeting held on Friday, Chairman Mishra proposed moving ahead by uniting the two parties. “He suggested integrating the two parties or forming a new party altogether. We also have the policy to unite with other political parties which share the same ideals,” Rana said.

The RPP has been advocating the restoration of the monarchy, declaring Nepal as a Hindu state and the scrapping of federalism while the Bibeksheel Sajha Party champions a referendum on secularism and scrapping federalism.
