Earlier, the RPP had formed a committee under the leadership of General Secretary Rana to integrate the party with other parties. The committee had been holding talks with other political parties as well.
The RPP has been advocating the restoration of the monarchy, declaring Nepal as a Hindu state and the scrapping of federalism while the Bibeksheel Sajha Party champions a referendum on secularism and scrapping federalism.
