Flights resume from Resunga Airport after three months

Flights from Resunga Airport have resumed after three months. According to Suman Thapa, Station Chief of Resunga Airport, flights began on Monday, after being suspended since December 19, 2024.

KATHMANDU, March 31: Flights from Resunga Airport have resumed after three months. According to Suman Thapa, Station Chief of Resunga Airport, flights began on Monday, after being suspended since December 19, 2024. 


On Monday, 14 passengers flew from Kathmandu to Resunga, and 4 passengers traveled from Resunga to Kathmandu.

Due to maintenance work on Nepal Airlines' aircraft, regular flights had been unavailable for a long time. Initially, flights operated only once a week on Fridays, but due to increasing passenger demand, the airline was granted permission for three weekly flights.


In the recent rainy season, however, the flight schedule was reduced, with flights only operating once a week on Fridays. Currently, the flight schedule has been revised to accommodate the increasing passenger demand, with flights operating on Friday and Wednesday.


The fare from Gulmi to Kathmandu has been set at Rs 7,300, while the fare from Kathmandu to Gulmi is Rs 7,500. Flights from Kathmandu depart at 6:30 am, and flights from Resunga to Kathmandu depart at 7:45 am.
