KATHMANDU, March 31: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has called for a judicial investigation into the Tinkune incident, which resulted in the deaths of two youths.
Addressing the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting on Monday, RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden stated that Sabin Maharjan, who was walking, was shot dead, while Suresh Rajak, a journalist from Avenues Television who was reporting, was burned alive. Drawing the attention of the government, the international community, and human rights activists, Chairman Lingden urged the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the case and bring the culprits to justice. Expressing grief over the incident that occurred on Friday in the Tinkune area of the capital, Lingden also demanded that both victims be declared martyrs.
