KATHMANDU, March 31: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to address the House of Representatives (HoR) on Monday. The HoR meeting is scheduled to take place at 11:00 am.
Prime Minister Oli's address was confirmed after opposition parties obstructed the parliament, demanding a response from the Prime Minister on the government's decisions.
Mahesh Bartaula, the chief whip of the CPN-UML, informed that Prime Minister Oli will address the session on Monday. He added that after the Prime Minister's address, the opposition's obstruction will hopefully be removed, and the session will be able to proceed smoothly.
Come with fixed agendas, govt will address your demands: PM Oli...

Opposition parties, including the main opposition party CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialist), the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), the Rastriya Janamorcha, and the Aaam Janata Party, had decided to block the session, demanding the response of the Prime Minister.
The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), which was not part of the discussions with opposition parties, has also raised objections. They have specifically been seeking an explanation from the government after the Managing Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising, was dismissed with only four months remaining in his tenure.
Previously, the government had introduced six replacement bills, of which the land-related bill has been rendered inactive. Today is the final day for passing the remaining five replacement bills. This is also one of the reasons behind the Prime Minister’s plan to address the session today.
