Patient from Jhapa tests negative for COVID-19

KATHMANDU, March 16: A patient who was brought to Kathmandu from Jhapa on suspicion of COVID-19 infection has tested negative, the Grande International Hospital has confirmed.

KATHMANDU, March 16: A patient who was brought to Kathmandu from Jhapa on suspicion of COVID-19 infection has tested negative, the Grande International Hospital has confirmed.


The 42-year-old patient from Bhadrapur-7, Jhapa district, was referred to Grande International Hospital, Kathmandu from the Nobel Medical College, Biratnagar.

Grande International Hospital's medical director Dr. Chakra Raj Pandey confirmed that the said patient did not have COVID-19. "Upon examination, we found him suffering from fever, and common cold and cough. But no COVID-19 infection has been detected," Dr. Pandey said.
