Singapore returnee tests negative for COVID-19 in Udayapur

UDAYAPUR, April 1: A patient in Udyapur who was admitted to Udayapur District Hospital after developing symptoms similar to coronavirus has tested negative for this deadly disease on Wednesday.

UDAYAPUR, April 1: A patient in Udyapur who was admitted to Udayapur District Hospital after developing symptoms similar to coronavirus has tested negative for this deadly disease on Wednesday.


Swab sample of Singapore returnee Bijaya Chaudhary,35, of Triyuga municipality-6, Jaljale was sent to Dharan based BP Koirala Institute of Health Science. BPKIHS then sent its sample to National Public Health Laboratory, Kathmandu. The report sent by NPHL tested negative, according to medical superintendent at District Hospital Jib Narayan Mandal.

The patient was told to stay under home quarantine after his swab sample was sent to Kathmandu.


Earlier, another 36-year-old Bidyanand Chaudhary who had returned from Qatar had also tested negative.
