1,086 UML members quit party after Bhim Rawal’s expulsion

The supporters include members from the provincial committee, departmental, central department, district committee secretariat, migrant representatives, district advisors, municipality and ward committee officials, All Nepal Women's Association (ANWA), and officials from various other committees.

KATHMANDU, Jan 21: A wave of growing discontent can be seen among the party workers after the CPN-UML expelled former Vice Chairman Bhim Rawal from the party. Following Rawal’s expulsion, a large number of leaders and activists across the country have started leaving the party, which has dealt a significant blow to the party in Sudurpaschim Province.


By leading the Matribhumi Jagaran Abhiyaan, Rawal is building an organization. In his home district of Achham, thousands have left the CPN-UML, which includes 1,086 local leaders and activists. All of them have declared their support for Rawal’s campaign.
