KATHMANDU, Oct 1: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has initiated a corruption case against three people, with the conviction that there was corruption during the placement of golden Jalhari in the sanctum sanctorum of Pashupatinath temple.

The CIAA has filed a case against former member-secretaries of Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) Pradip Dhakal, and Dr Milan Kumar Thapa at the Special Court on the charges of corruption and embezzlement.

The CIAA has also filed a corruption case against Arun Kumar Shrestha, a storekeeper working in the PADT.
