KATHMANDU, Feb 18: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against 18 individuals, including three former secretaries, in relation to the Melamchi Water Supply Project.
CIAA sources said that the former secretaries named in the case are Bhim Upadhyaya, Sanjay Sharma and Gajendra Thakur. Similarly, Rudra Singh Tamang, director general (DG) of the Department of Immigration (DoI), has also been made a defendant.

Sources said that some Nepali and foreign consultants are also accused of corruption in the case filed at the special court on Sunday.
