KATHMANDU, Jan 20: The government has recommended to President Ram Chandra Paudel to the winter session of the federal parliament on January 31. The cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to recommend the president to convene the session.
The annual session of the parliament ended on September 1. Recently, the opposition parties had warned that they would demand a special session if the parliament session was not convened immediately.

They had objected to the government issuing an ordinance at the time of convening the session. There is a provision for the president to summon the session after the recommendation of the cabinet.
