KATHMANDU, Oct 1: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday soared by 114.70 points to close at 2,623.56 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,508.86 points and went into an upward graph throughout the trading hours. Overall, the market increased by 4.57 percent.

The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, increased by a notable 19.46 points. The daily turnover also rose to Rs 7.61 billion from Rs 3.71 billion on Monday.
Among individual companies, 243 were gainers whereas only one company was recorded as the loser.
All the 13 groups saw their indices rise in the intraday trading. Life insurance gained the highest of 511.79 points, while a total of nine groups were the gainers of three-digit points. The heavyweight banking sub index surged by 55.26 points.
NLG Insurance Company Ltd had the biggest turnover of its shares worth Rs 288.28 million. A total of 18 companies including Butwal Power Company Limited, Gurkhas Finance Ltd, Goodwill Finance Limited, Shree Investment Finance Co Ltd and Central Finance Co Ltd, among others, were the gainers of 10 percent of their market values. NMB 50 lost the largest of 3.86 percent of its market price.
