KATHMANDU, March 22: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday jumped 54.51 points to close at 2,931.55 points.
NEPSE opened at 2,877.02 points added around 18 points in the pre-opening session. It dropped to 2,892.22 points before escalating to the day’s high at 2,938.9 points in the last 24 minutes. The market corrected by seven points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Sector-wise, trading was the only group that shed 4.31 points. Of the 12 gainers, non-life insurance added the largest of 318.59 points. A total of six groups gained three-digit points in their indices.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies inclined by a notable 11.11 points. Daily turnover inclined to Rs 23.59 billion from Rs 21.22 billion.
Among the individual companies, 183 were the gainers and 73 lost their market charms. Kumari Bank Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 859.61 million.
Six companies including Corporate Development Bank Limited, Salapa Bikas Bank Limited, Reliance Spinning Mills, Aviyan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, Solu Hydropower Limited and Bhujung Hydropower Limited were the topmost gainers of 10 percent. NIC Asia Balanced Fund with a decline of 5.71 percent in its market value was recorded as the highest loser.
