KATHMANDU, March 12: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday inclined 23.87 points to close at 2,820.44 points.
The secondary market posted gains on the third day after getting down around 79 points in the past two days. NEPSE opened at 2,796.57 points added around four points in the pre-opening session.
In the first 11 minutes, the market declined 19 points, while it jumped 34 points in the next 22 minutes. The index reached the day’s high at 2,830.03 points in the last 82 minutes. The market followed minor fluctuations as it shed 10 points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Sector-wise, three were the losers as hotels and tourism plunged with the largest of 26.77 points, which was followed by others and non-life insurance. Of the 10 gainers, the development bank surged by the largest of 76.35 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies inclined 5.01 points. Daily turnover increased to Rs 14.55 billion from Rs 13.18 billion.
Among the individual companies, 176 were the gainers and 77 lost their market charms. National Hydro Power Company Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 677.94 million.
Salapa Bikas Bank and Reliance Spinning Mills Limited added the highest of 10 percent in their market values. Kumari Sabal Yojana declined by the highest of 3.72 percent.
