KATHMANDU, July 14: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) increased by 14.71 points while the single-day turnover surged to Rs 2.41 billion on Thursday.
The market opened at 1,986.82 points and went to a maximum of 2,011.79 points within the first few minutes of the trading started for the day. The index plunged to as low as 1,977.26 points before closing finally at 2,001.53 points.
Nepse up for a fifth consecutive week
All 13 trading groups gained in their average share prices in the intraday trading. Microfinance gained the largest of 55.52 points.
Among individual companies, NIC Asia Bank had the transactions of its shares worth Rs 301.88 million, the largest of all. NIBL Pragati Fund was the highest gainer while Prudential Insurance Company Limited was the top loser.
