KATHMANDU, Nov 1: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Tuesday rose by 56.10 points while the daily turnover amount was recorded at Rs 1.29 billion, the highest transaction amount recorded in the past two weeks.
With a notable rise, the market index also crossed 1,900 points in the past one and a half months. On Tuesday, The market opened at 1,874.87 points and continuously rose almost throughout the trading hours to close at 1,930.97 points.
Nepse up for a fifth consecutive week
The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also increased by 11.28 points. All the 13 trading groups gained in their average market values. Four of them achieved three-digit gains.
In individual companies, NIC Asia Bank had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 66.56 million. Nyadi Hydropower Limited was the topmost gainer while NCC Debenture 2086 lost the largest percent in its market price.
