The delay was caused by the wet outfield following recent rainfall, which required parts of the ground to be dried. As a result, the match has been reduced to 40 overs per side.
The tournament features host nation Nepal along with UAE, Oman, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong.
Captain Narendra Bhatta leads the Nepali squad, which features Abhishek Tiwari, Niraj Yadav, Sahil Patel, Cibrin Shrestha, Roshan Bishwakarma, Darsh Sonar, and Dilsad Ali. The team includes Santosh Yadav, Ashok Dhami, Dayanand Mandal, Aparajit Paudel, Yuvaraj Khatri, and Bipin Prasad Sharma.
On the same day, Oman and Afghanistan will also face off at the Upper Mulpani International Cricket Ground.
