KATHMANDU, August 3: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Wednesday fell marginally by 6.72 points while the daily turnover amount crossed Rs 4 billion.
The secondary market that opened at 2,193.48 points plunged to the day’s low to 2,186.49 points before it surged to the highest of 2,213.42 points within the first three hours of trading. However, the market went down in the final hour to close at 2,186.76 points.
Nepse stretches winning run with record weekly turnover
Except for four trading groups, the remaining nine groups witnessed a fall in their average share values. Trading posted a gain of 86.68 points while non-life insurance lost the largest of 85.55 points among the groups.
In individual companies, Shivam Cements had the highest transaction of its shares worth Rs 253.43 million. Standard Chartered Bank Nepal was the topmost loser while Samling Power Company Limited was the biggest gainer on Wednesday.
