KATHMANDU, March 11: Dr Chandra Kant (CK) Raut-led Janamat Party (JP) has asked the party’s Vice-Chair Deepak Kumar Sah and central treasurer Surendra Narayan Yadav for a clarification. They have been suspended until they provide any clarification. The leaders who were asked for a clarification did not attend the meeting of the party's central committee that began in Bardibas, Mahottari, on Sunday.
Chairman Raut had earlier sought clarification from other party leaders, including Vice Chair Abdul Khan, Basant Kumar Kushwaha, Secretary Bipin Sah, Bhupendra Prasad Yadav, Anita Devi, Central Committee members Shambhu Nath Sah, and Shiva Chandra Kushwaha. Chairman Raut has already removed some leaders from the party, including Kailash Mahato and Rabindra Yadav.
Raut has sent a letter to the Speaker, requesting the suspension of proportional representation MP Goma Labh from her position. However, the Speaker has not suspended her yet, which has led to Raut’s frustration with the Speaker. Previously, Raut had announced disciplinary action against Labh from the party. Raut had also sought clarification from Satish Singh, the former chief minister of Province 2, who was removed from the party.
Efforts being made to bring Janamat Party back to govt

“It has become common to ask for clarification in our party and suspend as soon as we don't like it. At the moment, there is a rush to ask for clarification and suspend leaders,” said Treasurer Yadav, who was asked for clarification, “If this continues, it will harm the party. The party is already facing losses. Those who are asking for clarification should understand this.”
He added, “When I asked for the party's financial accounts in my capacity as treasurer, I was asked for a clarification. There is no other reason.”
Some leaders who were asked for clarification have already left the party. Leaders including Bhopendra Prasad Yadav and Shiva Chandra Kushwaha have left the party without providing clarification. Deepak Sah, who was suspended from the post of vice-president after asking for clarification, said, “I have made a significant contribution to building this party. I also have a rightful claim in the party. Therefore, there is no question of leaving the party based on someone's whim. False accusations have been made against me.”
Party spokesperson Sharat Singh Yadav said that the process of asking for clarification will not only benefit the party but also strengthen the organization. “The system of asking for clarification is mentioned in the party's statute. The person asked for clarification gets the opportunity to provide clarification. The clarification can also be asked from me, so let’s not make it a big issue. We have even asked the Chief Minister of Madhesh Province for clarification, so asking others for clarification is not such a big deal,” he added.
According to party spokesperson Yadav, the central committee meeting that began in Bardibas is focused on strengthening and strengthening the party's organization, implementing the party's new republic agenda, and institutionalizing the federal democratic republic.
