KATHMANDU, Nov 24: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday increased by 11.56 points to close at 1,933.55 points.
The secondary market that fell in the consecutive two days of the general election, bounced back on the third day. In a series of fluctuations during the trading hours, the market reached the day’s lowest at 1,916.53 points while it hit the maximum of 1,931.78 points.
Nepse stretches winning run with record weekly turnover
A total of 124 companies gained in their market prices whereas 49 companies recorded losses. Despite a double digit rise in the market index, the daily turnover portrayed a dismal picture, as the amount plunged to Rs 925.17 million from Rs 1.022 billion on the previous day.
While non-life insurance slipped marginally by 3.26 points, remaining 12 trading groups gained in their average share prices. Regarding the individual companies, Shine Resunga Development Bank had the biggest transactions of its shares worth Rs 76.24 million. Ghalemdi Hydro Limited was the top gainer and Kisan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha was the highest loser of the day.
