NEPSE adds 15.83 points, daily turnover falls to Rs 6.34 billion

KATHMANDU, Nov 25: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Monday increased by 15.83 points to close at 2,683.24 points.


The market opened at 2,667.40 points and plummeted to the day’s low at 2,661.86 points in the first 26 minutes of trading. The index went through a series of fluctuations and hit the day’s high at 2,694.68 points in the next one and a half hour. In the remaining around two hours of trading, the market shed around 11 points before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, inclined up 1.86 points. The daily turnover declined to Rs 6.34 billion from Rs 7.72 billion on Sunday.


Two out of the 13 groups, namely manufacturing and processing, and mutual funds lost 15.94 points and 0.07 points, respectively. Of 11 gainers, non-life insurance surged by the largest of 163.57 points.


Ngadi Group Power had the biggest turnover of its shares worth Rs 540.75 million. The company was also recorded as the topmost loser. Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited gained the largest of 10 percent of its market price.
