KATHMANDU, Jan 25: The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has strongly denounced the US and its allies’ intervention in the internal affairs of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, accusing them of increasing violence by dividing the people and challenging democracy, sovereignty and peace.
Issuing a press release on Friday, the ruling NCP said, “The self declaration of Juan Guaido, as the acting president of Venezuela and immediate recognition of him by US and other regional states, clearly shows the grand design going on against the legitimately elected President of the Bolivian Republic of Venezuela, President Nicolas Maduro and Venezuelan People.”

The NCP has urged the US and other countries to respect the principle of noninterference, national sovereignty and peaceful co-existence, saying that it is "an acceptable intrusion and a serious challenge to the UN Charter and Principle of peaceful co-existence."
Meanwhile, the NCP also calls on all the international community, the UN and all the sovereign nations to stand for the solidarity and support of people of Venezuela in their struggle to defend the National and People’s sovereignty.
