Leaders close to the Poudel-led faction went to the party office in Sanepa on Thursday and met the Election Committee officials. They drew the attention of the committee members to take the incident of Dadeldhura's ward lightly in order to prevent similar incidents from repeating in other districts.

Leaders of the Poudel faction have maintained that they had taken the incident seriously and drawn the attention of the committee not to repeat the same mistake after holding a ward convention in Dadeldhura. “A ward convention has been held in the home district of a democratic party president with police administration.

Earlier, Poudel had held a meeting with NC President Deuba and asked him to defer the convention in Dadeldhura for three days. "The ward convention was carried out despite a request from the rival faction to put it off for three days. Which power convened the ward convention? We need an answer,” ,” Dr Shekhar Koirala, a Central Committee member, said.
