NC and UML candidates leading in two sub-metropolises of Bara district

BARA, May 15: Vote counting is underway in Kalaiya sub-metropolis and Jitpur Simara sub-metropolis of Bara district.

BARA, May 15: Vote counting is underway in Kalaiya sub-metropolis and Jitpur Simara sub-metropolis of Bara district. 


In Kalaiya, the mayoral candidate from CPN-UML, Binod Shah is leading the polls with 1,295 votes while the candidate from the five-party alliance, Rajesh Raya Yadav has received 717 votes so far.

In the contest for the post of deputy mayor, UML candidate Roshan Prabin is leading with 1,018 votes while the candidate from the coalition, Pramod Gupta has received 740 votes so far.


In Jitpur Sub-metropolis, the candidate from the ruling coalition, Rajan Poudel has received 3,701 votes while CPN-UML candidate Saraswati Chaudhary has received 2,246 votes so far. 


In the contest for the post of deputy mayor, the candidate from the coalition, Megha Shahi is in the lead with 3,552 votes while CPN-UML candidate Bhola Adhikari has received 2,420 votes. The vote count results of ward 23, 24 and 1 of Jitpur Simara sub-metropolis have already been published while vote counting is still underway for wards 2 and 22. In wards 24 and 1, NC candidates have been elected to the post of ward chairmen while UML candidates have been elected in ward 23.
