KATHMANDU, Feb 16: Members of the House of Representatives will get only one minute to ask questions to the Prime Minister during the parliament’s question and answer session.
In its 36th meeting on Sunday, the Business Advisory Committee decided that each MP could ask either two questions or complete their query within one minute.

During the meeting, Speaker Devraj Ghimire emphasized that MPs should dedicate their full time to parliamentary sessions. "The tendency of MPs to speak and leave during the session has increased. MPs must remain present throughout the session unless there is an urgent matter. It is inappropriate to show up only to maintain the quorum at the end of the session," he said.
Ghimire further said that a schedule had been set to facilitate MPs' participation, but attendance issues persisted.
