KATHMANDU, Jan 9: Lawmaker Surya Thapa, the chairman of the special parliamentary committee that prepared the report proposing to proceed with the investigation process against Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) chairman Rabi Lamichhane, has said that it has been revealed that Lamichhane initially paid Rs 7.5 million from the cooperative.

Sharing an excerpt from the full text of the Kaski District Court’s ‘release on bail’ order against Lamichhane and others defendants on Facebook, lawmaker Thapa wrote, “It has been revealed that Rabi Lamichhane initially paid Rs 7.5 million from the cooperative's money for his shares in Gorkha Media Network.”
