State Minister Tamang had expressed his disagreement with Energy Minister Deepak Khadka’s decision to remove Kulman Ghising from the position of Managing Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority. Tamang had urged that Ghising be allowed to complete his remaining four months in office.
Speaking to Republica, Tamang said, “The Home Minister called me today and informed me that the Prime Minister has asked for my resignation. I told him that since I was appointed by the party, not the Prime Minister, I would only resign if the party asked me to do so.”
