KATHMANDU, Oct 10: The Government of the Republic of Korea has decided to provide US $500,000 in humanitarian aid to Nepal to support ongoing relief efforts in response to the recent heavy rains.


The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal stated that the ROK government hopes this assistance will support the recovery of the affected areas and help residents return to their daily lives swiftly. The Republic of Korea’s Foreign Minister, Cho Tae-yul, conveyed a message of condolence to Nepal’s Foreign Minister, Arzu Rana Deuba, over the severe floods and landslides in Nepal.

Highlighting the similarities between the two countries, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea emphasized that Nepal is a priority country for development cooperation and assured further strengthening of cooperation and friendly ties between the two nations.


Nepal and the Republic of Korea are celebrating their 50th anniversary by organizing multiple events in Kathmandu.
