Indian former FM Jaitley dies at 66

NEW DELHI, Aug 24: Arun Jaitley, the former finance minister and a stalwart of the Bharatiya Janata Party, died on Saturday at the age of 66.

NEW DELHI, Aug 24: Arun Jaitley, the former finance minister and a stalwart of the Bharatiya Janata Party, died on Saturday at the age of 66.


According to the press release by AIIMS’ Media and Protocol Division, Jaitley died at 12:07 pm on Saturday.

Arun Jaitley was admitted into AIIMS’ intensive care unit (ICU) and was treated by a multi-disciplinary team of doctors after he complained of uneasiness; he was put on life-support system after his condition deteriorated, Hindustan Times reported.
