KATHMANDU, July 5: Nepali Congress (NC) Vice President Dhanraj Gurung has claimed that if the ruling alliance is broken, the country will head toward an accident.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony of the statue of late NC leader Girija Prasad Koirala organized by the Nepal Trade Union Congress in Kathmandu today, he said the coalition airplane was in the sky and would crash if it did not land safely.

He said that the coalition aircraft will probably make a safe landing only after November. He said that a coalition government was formed to protect the constitution and the parties should not accuse each other in the middle of the road. He mentioned that a parachute jump from the flying aircraft would cause an accident. Vice President Gurung said that the constitution would not be saved if the coalition parties argued that the Nepali Congress was not sincere.

"In the local elections, five parties boarded the same aircraft. The aircraft has taken off. It’s in the sky and has not landed. Now how do we make that aircraft land safely? I am of the opinion that my friends should not murmur while being seated in the same aircraft,” he said,

Gurung claimed that when one party accuses the other within the alliance, it would be confirmed that the country was run by immature politicians. He said that the government should not always work to make the country poor, adding that it was necessary for the government to keep the vision of connecting the country and the system with prosperity.
