KATHMANDU, Oct 10: Shobha Gyawali, the president of the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs' Associations of Nepal (FWEAN), has reaffirmed the Federation's unwavering commitment to advancing the rights and interests of women entrepreneurs. She emphasized that FWEAN's core mission revolves around championing the rights and well-being of women entrepreneurs, and they will diligently pursue this objective.
These remarks were made during the 'Meet and Greet' program held at the Federation's office in Bishalnagar on Monday, attended by federation officials, women entrepreneurs, and members. During the event, Mahalaxmi Shrestha, the fourth vice-president of FWEAN, provided insights into the committee's functions, while Darshana Shrestha, the first vice-president, delivered a vote of thanks. Shanti Chadda also graced the program with her presence.
President Gyawali, in her welcoming address, expressed her determination to enhance the Federation's effectiveness in the policymaking process, both nationally and internationally, in alignment with its objectives.

Niru Rayamajhi Khatri, the outgoing President of FWEAN, stressed the importance of gender-friendly and responsible policies and programs in the business sector to elevate Nepal from an underdeveloped country to a developing one. During the same event, outgoing President Khatri presented a memorandum to President Gyawali.
As part of the program, the Federation showcased a video detailing its activities over the past 20 years, highlighting its unwavering dedication to the development and promotion of women entrepreneurs.
