Following a trial period of free observation, Dharahara is now set to operate systematically with an entry fee structure. Until it is fully operated under the provisions of the Special Structure Operation and Management Development Committee (Formation) Order, 2081, it will temporarily open to the public with an interim fee, approved during a Cabinet meeting last Thursday, starting Sunday, November 24.

According to the ministry’s proposal, local visitors will pay Rs 200 per person, while tourists from SAARC nations will be charged Rs 500 per person. Non-SAARC tourists will be charged Rs 1,000 per person. Additionally, parking fees within the Dharahara premises have been set at Rs 20 per hour for four-wheelers and Rs 10 per hour for two-wheelers.

An entry fee of Rs 50 has also been set for accessing the Dharahara premises. For displaying national advertisements on the Dharahara tower, the fee is Rs 5,000 per hour. Meanwhile, commercial video shooting is set at Rs 5,000 per hour, and photography at Rs 1,000 per hour.
