KARNALI, Nov 28: Dr Tula Krishna Gupta, Chief of the Department of General Practice and Emergency Medicine at Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS), Jumla, has been declared the 'Best Poster-2023' in an international research article competition.
The Besrour Centre for Global Family Medicine, Canada conferred the Dr Patrick Chege Memorial Research Award on Dr Gupta, declaring him the 'Best Poster-2023', KAHS stated.
A research article entitled 'Pattern of Skin Diseases in High-altitude of Nepal and Role of General Practitioners (GPs) in Its Management' submitted by Dr Gupta was selected as the best article from among research articles received from across the world.
Dr Gupta said his research article included topics as the nature of skin disease specially living in high-altitude regions, its diagnosis and the role of general practitioners in treating it, the activities that have taken place regarding this and its positive impact.
The Besrour Centre for Global Family Medicine has also invited Dr Gupta as the Guest Speaker in the Family Medicine Forum to be organized on November 6-9 in Vancouver, Canada.
