PM Oli reaches Jumla to attend first convocation ceremony of KAHS

KATHMANDU, Nov 13: Prime minister and chancellor of the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS), KP Sharma Oli, has reached Jumla today to attend the first convocation ceremony of the KAHS.

KATHMANDU, Nov 13: Prime minister and chancellor of the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS), KP Sharma Oli, has reached Jumla today to attend the first convocation ceremony of the KAHS.


Vice-Chancellor Dr Mangal Rawal said that all the preparations for the convocation have been completed. According to Dr Rawal, the convocation ceremony will be attended by PM Oli, Health Minister Pradeep Poudel, vice-chairperson of the Medical Education Commission, Prof Dr Anjani Kumar Jha, and director of the US-based Hardware Medical College Center for Primary Care and System Strengthening, Christine Massinger.

According to Rector Dabal Bahadur Dhami, 56 students were being graduated: 38 students from BPH, 13 from MBBS, three from MDGP towards master degree, one in MD (anesthesia) and one in MD (pediatrics).


Registrar Nripendra Mahat said that the schedule has been fixed for the assembly meeting of the KAHS before the convocation ceremony and the inauguration of the academic building after the convocation ceremony.


The KAHS has been contributing to the field of healthcare, education and research. Mahat said that discussions on future plans and ongoing activities will take place during the KAHS’s assembly meeting.
