BIRATNAGAR, Jan 8: The deadline set by the provincial head for the establishment of the government in province 1 is expiring at 5 pm today.
On January 11, Provincial Chief Parshuram Khapung called upon two or more parties represented in the Provincial Assembly to submit their claims for the post of Chief Minister within seven days after garnering a support of majority members in the Provincial Assembly in accordance with Article 168 (2) in the Constitution.
In the meantime, the ruling coalition parties held internal discussions but could not submit their claims because the share allocation was not finalized at the center. The ruling coalition is preparing to submit its claim by this evening.
