KATHMANDU, June 5: Nine high-profile businessmen, who were arrested on charge of gambling earlier this week, have been released on bail on Friday.
The District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu, released them on Friday afternoon after they posted a bail of Rs 30,000 each.

The DAO on Tuesday had sent them in five-day police custody after they were caught gambling at Gangaur Regency Boutique Hotel in Kamaladi on Monday.
Police had seized Rs 277,0000 in cash and 171 gambling chips from the alleged gamblers. Those arrested have been identified as Bimal Khetan, Ram Chandra Sanghai, Purushottam Agrawal, Bimal Ahuja, Suresh Kumar Agrawal, Gobinda Ram Sariya, Ashok Kumar Agrawal and Nanda Kishor Sharma.
Police also arrested the owner of the Hotel Mikki Jogai, who is an Indian national, in connection with the incident. Of them, Ashok Kumar Agrawal is the Honorary Consul of Guinea Republic to Nepal.
