Dahal bats for continuation of incumbent govt

BANEPA, July 4: Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center), Puspa Kamal Dahal on Monday has said that the game of forming and taking down the government will ruin the country.


At the time when there are talks about a change in the government, Dahal, speaking at a program organized in Ugrachanda Nala VDC said, “Taking down a government and forming a new one will ruin Nepal.”

Mentioning the agreement reached with the ruling partner, CPN-UML, Dahal that there was no any option except forging an agreement on agreeable issues with the coalition partner.


Chairman Dahal further indicated that he was ready to become Prime Minister if Nepali Congress (NC) and UML agree.


He said, “If NC and UML trust us, we are ready to lead the government.”


On a different note Dahal clarified that he was not in a hurry to lead the government.


“I’m concerned over the potential failure of the constitution,” he said, “I’m not in a hurry to become Prime Minister as it’s not about who leads the government.”
