KATHMANDU, June 27: The health ministry confirmed 1,920 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease on Sunday. Those cases were detected through 6,000 RT-PCR tests and 3,836 antigen tests carried out across the country.
With this Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has hit 633,679 through the PCR technique and 32,098 through the antigen method.

Of the total cases confirmed so far, 584,334 have won their battles against the disease including 3,007 in the past 24 hours. Nepal’s COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 92.2 percent.
Meanwhile, at least 34 deaths from the infection were reported on Sunday, taking the country’s fatality tally to 9,009.
The ministry also shared that 40,336 patients are yet to recover from the disease as of Sunday afternoon.
