KATHMANDU, Nov 24: Nepal recorded 1,790 new cases, 2,791 recoveries and 24 deaths linked with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past one day.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,790 new cases of COVID-19 were detected through 10,843 PCR tests conducted at various labs across the country in the past 24 hours. Of the newly-infected, 721 are females and 1,069 are males. Nepal has reported a total of 224,978 coronavirus infections as of Tuesday.

The country has now a total of 17,579 active cases of the coronavirus. As many as 204,858 people who earlier tested positive for the virus have been discharged from hospitals after recovery.
Altogether, 1,361 people including 24 in the past one day, have succumbed to COVID-19 across Nepal so far, the ministry said in its daily COVID-19 updates on Tuesday.
